Destination Wedding Photography

I’ve packed my passport for a number of weddings across some beautiful locations for brides and grooms that want to guarantee that they will get high quality imagery and a gorgeous collection of photographs to capture their special day.  After all, so much time and effort goes into planning the perfect destination wedding, why would you not want to capture the day as a perfect memory.

Most couples choose a destination wedding photographer to ensure that the vision of their wedding and the style of photography they desire will be well represented, or they simply fall in love with the style of one photographer and want those images of their day.  Either way you’re probably looking for a well established, well regarded and experienced photographer to capture such an important time in your lives.

I spend a lot of time going through the planning of the day for destination weddings, checking the light at different times of the day and consulting with the bride and groom on the timing plans to make sure we make the most of the fabulous vistas and backdrops that many destination wedding venues offer.

BEAUTIFUL DESTINATION WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY

A good destination wedding photographer won’t need to see the venue before hand or even to have shot there before (in fact local venue photographers can often go into auto-pilot), I’m used to travelling wherever I need to be and working in new locations, I usually arrive one day before and will do all my necessary recce work then.

My approach is very much to capture the day from a fresh perspective, seeing the things you fell in love with about the venue and not the set locations and poses the venue photographer runs through.
